Where to get a taxi from Barcelona airport
There are taxi ranks outside T1 and T2 (T2A, T2B and T2C) at the Barcelona airport. They are easy to find, look for signs to the taxi stand when you leave a terminal, which will direct you to the nearest taxi rank.
You will save time if you specifically follow the taxi signs, rather than going to the place where you see people queuing for a taxi. This is because the nearest taxi station could be left or right when you leave a terminal building and there may not be a queue so you could Regret and spend extra time on a busy and farther taxi rank.
You are not allowed to stop a taxi anywhere. It is necessary to go to the taxi waiting area in front of the queue. You will find a staff member wearing a high visibility jacket. They will direct you to a taxi that is assigned to you.

According to the Metropolitan Taxi Institute, about 10% of taxi vans have a special license to carry up to 6 passengers. If you need one of these taxis, you should ask the operator at the taxi station of the airport to find one. You might have some waiting time as these types of taxis are not as readily available.

and want a taxi for up to 6 passengers, it is recommended to call an official taxi company and request one. Hailing a taxi van in the city center by hoping that they have a 6-passenger license is not a good idea as these types of taxis are not common.
